Our safety pledge
BuzzClass is a set of free learning games for young kids. It started because I wanted my own kids, ages 5 and 7, to learn to use a tablet somewhere I didn't have to worry about. These are the rules every game follows.
- Nobody can talk to your child. There is no chat, no messaging, no friend list, no comments, and no multiplayer. A stranger has no way to reach a kid through BuzzClass.
- No accounts. We never ask for a name, email, birthday, photo, or location. There's nothing to sign up for.
- No ads.
- No tracking. No analytics, no cookies, and no scripts or fonts from other companies. Every file on these pages comes from BuzzClass.
- No links out of the games. A stray tap can't send your kid to another website or an app store.
- Progress stays on your device. Stars, stickers, and unlocked letters are saved in this browser and never sent anywhere. You can clear them at the bottom of this page.
- Free. No paid levels and no in-game purchases.
Check it yourself
Every page includes a Content Security Policy, a rule the browser enforces. Ours tells the browser to load files only from BuzzClass and to block the page from sending data anywhere. If you're comfortable with page source, it's on the first few lines of every file.
Tablet tips
Put BuzzClass on the home screen. On an iPad, open it in Safari, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen. It opens full screen with no address bar to wander off with.
Lock the iPad to one app. Guided Access keeps your child inside BuzzClass. Turn it on in Settings, Accessibility, Guided Access. Then open BuzzClass and triple-click the top button (or the Home button on older iPads). Triple-click again and enter your passcode to get out. Android tablets have a similar feature called app pinning, usually under Settings, Security.
Turn the volume up. The games talk. Younger kids need to hear the letters and numbers, and the voice uses your device's built-in speech, so it works without sending anything out.
Clear saved progress
This removes stars, stickers, and unlocked letters from this device.
